Happy new horse owners...
Here are some sweet testimonials we have been lucky enough to receive over the years. This is what we strive for. Since we love our horses deeply, we want them to be happy and adored by their new families - and we know we are not the only people that need a great horse to ride - so please join our happy homes club someday soon!
Our guarantee to you is that if you aren't happy with the horse you buy from us, bring them back and we will re-sell them for you and try to find you a better fit - this actually has not happened to us after 10 years, as we do our darndest to make the right match.

Karen and Luna Tom and Carly
From our dear friends Karen and Tom - who bought Carly from us many years ago and then came back and bought Luna recently. What pretty girls! Thank you Tom and Karen and many happy trails!
"Hey, haven't sent you an update note in awhile. Have I told you how much we love Luna? Even Tom, and he's a harder sell! LOL Shes amazing, as you know; I can ride her every day or once a week and she is exactly the same. We go out by ourselves, with friends and neighbors, down the highway, across the highway, barking dogs, she's handled it like a much older seasoned trail horse. I have to get pics of her "helping" Tom with barn chores cuz she's in the middle of the it and blocking the wheel barrow when he's trying to put a fork full of manure into it! Such a personality!" from dear Karen ...

Hi Kirsten,
I wanted to put the following comment on your 'satisfied customer' page but wasn't sure how to do it. Can you add the following to your website?
The first time I saw the picture of Zuri (formerly Remix) I said to myself "he's the one". I had been searching for over a year for 'my' horse. Even though I had not met him in person....I just had that feeling. I was skeptical because he was only three and I'd been looking for 5-10 year olds. My first test ride at your home wasn't a great one - he and I were both frustrated - but I knew it was my lack of skills and his wanting to please me. Still I couldn't shake that "feeling" and knew I wanted him.
When he was delivered to his boarding home all I heard was "why did you buy a three year old?!" "He's cute......but he's only three." "So and so is selling her three year old because he's to much to handle." "You should have bought a six year old or older." "Three year old horses are difficult." And so on……
Well, let me tell you Kirsten - he's the Sweetest, wants to Please, best Loving three year old I've ever known!! Not to mention Beautiful! Mind, body and soul. And he's a quick learner. Katie did a great job training him.
I was leery about taking him on the trails at first. After a couple of weeks of boring time in the arena, I finally gathered the courage to go on a trail ride with a friend. It was the best one I'd ever gone on. He was so much fun! I was on cloud nine the rest of the day!
It's true......sometimes you just have to go with your instincts. I made the right choice and am so pleased and happy with Zuri. He does have one bad habit - he loves to shop at Charlotte's and Dover Saddlery. You'd think the world revolved around him! :-)
Kirsten, thank you for working so patiently with me during the purchasing, delivery and vet check. I will keep you updated and promise to send pictures soon.
Happy Trails!
Marianne

Scarlett and Angela -
The lovely Scarlet left to be with her wonderful new family earlier this month! Happy trails Angela and Tim!
Here's what her new owner Angela had to say:
Scarlet was amazing last night on the trails! Y'all did an amazing job with her and it's so effortless for her to move. She's awesome...she's even helped my gelding relax and want to be by people. She's exactly what we were looking for and a great addition to our family zoo. Also, I want to say that y'all have been honest the whole way through. I'm thoroughly enjoying Scarlet!

Rachel Carroll & Emma -
She is wonderful. We went for a walk together and her ground manners are excellent. She is so sweet and loves to be brushed and hugged. What an awesome mammoth ambassador for the breed.

Rusty with Mojo and Callie -
"Oh my gosh. Callie is a carrot tramp. Lol. She will do cartwheels for a little piece of carrot. She is my sweetest sweetest love! Thank thank you. And Mojo is in da hiz house. He is a walking living dream for me. He is the most loving baby I have ever seen in my life. Calm quiet. Silly. That same eye as Leo. I may never recover from all this horsie love. ( and I pray I never do)" Rusty |

"The boys love their new pony. So excited when we got home with her." |
Kirsty:
I first saw Legend through the video you posted on FB. I couldn't believe a two year old could be so well trained and happy. The more I studied the video, the more I knew Legend would be a great fit for us. Our aged Walker, my husband's best buddy, had to be retired. We were both so heartbroken, because he was such a wonderful horse that anyone could ride. Legend has stepped in to fill big shoes. The wonderful breeding, and fabulous training you provided Legend has made this transition a great experience. My husband is thrilled with his new partner, as am I for finding you, your staff, and Legend. I hope you will continue to provide such wonderful horses for people like us looking for a lifetime partner. Lori |
"We love Sinny and April! Do you like chocolates?" ~ Katherine
This beautiful, sweet letter comes from Chrissy's owner Ally. It is so beautifully written and one of the kindest and most honest stories I have ever read. I am honored that Ally writes these and sends them to me still. It is stories like this that make life worthwhile and help those that may not understand the depth of the feelings that we horse-.lovers have for our dearest friends and the freedom and joy that they bring. Thank you so much Ally and I feel blessed that you and Chrissy have each for other. See if this doesn't bring a tear to your eye...
I was about to go ride her bareback when my mom yelled at me and two weeks later we brought her to a trainer. (My mom said you could never be too safe with horses, which is very true.) After a long grooming, I tacked her up and the trainer led her out to a round pen. She gets on very slowly, Chrissy's ears swivel back slightly and she lets out a deep breath as if to say, "come on, just get on will ya?" The trainer and I laughed. She mounted all the way and Chrissy's ears pricked forward. The trainer started walking her around the round pen a few times and from Chrissy's very good neck-reining skills, the trainer became more confident with her, taking her into a trot. Right when Chrissy jumped into the trot, the trainer starts yelling, "Oh my god!!! Smoooooth trot! VERRRRRRY smooth trot!!!!!!!" So she was very impressed with Chrissy!!! I ended up riding her a few minutes later and broke into tears at how my dream was coming true. The scenery was beautiful and seeing Chrissy's forelock, ears and mane bobbing gently up and down before me made it all the more breath-taking! I dismounted after a little while and we brought her back home where she was showered with love, affection and of course a bunch of treats!!! ^-^
As I look out the window right now I'm laughing and typing this at the same time. My mom is outside digging up small cactus plants from one of our pastures and looking up every now and then to see one of my other horses-a strawberry roan Andalusian/Appendix mix filly named Journey-with her head low, breathing down my mom's neck! Journey acts like Chrissy's little sister-most of the time chasing her around and annoying her, other times she's grooming Chrissy's back for attention and to show how much she really loves her! It's adorable to watch! Anyway, back to Chrissy! :)
We like to go on trail rides a lot...actually...that's all we ever do haha! My street isn't concrete or asphalt, it's actually a dirt road, more of an urban part of where I live. So it's nice and soft, easy on our horses hooves and very practical. Unfortunately for my parents, the tires of their cars kick up a lot of dust and get them all dirty!!! :D So I like to take her out down the dirt road. Cars, trucks and even huge boat-trailers pass by-Chrissy could care less, but they all slow-down to be considerate anyway. :) It goes about half a mile down until it comes to a turn-off to a boat ramp on one side and on the other is another dirt road with lots of hills and residential homes.
I never go down that part though, just the boat ramp route. But in between the two turn-offs is a huge, fenced-in pasture that acts as a home to three gorgeous ,gray Andalusians. Chrissy and I will go up there sometimes and visit them, you should see it! They start running along the side of the fence, whinnying and throwing their heads up and down when they see her coming! It's the sweetest thing! Though she doesn't take too fondly to them, most of the time she just sniffs them a little and strays away from them. Then we'll turn around and head back home. But first we'll go into a trail between a forest on one side and dozens of acres of orange groves on the other. Chrissy and the other horses LOOOVE this trail, I'm not sure why. Most of the time I loosen the reins up and let her take me where she wants to go, at her own pace. Most of the time she likes just taking it through a slow walk and other times she'll kick it up a notch to a trot, but it's not really flat enough to go any faster. Robins dart in and out of the orange trees into the forest and chirp as they go along, singing beautiful songs. Chrissy loves listening to them, her ears swivel in all different directions when we're in that part of the trail. Then I'll turn her around after a while and head home. But it isn't a peaceful, lazy trot to get there and she knows it!!! At the very tip of our 20-acre property, I used to move her into a gallop. Now we've done it so much at that same spot that she actually switches into it herself!!! Her ears will shoot forward, I'll tighten the reins up and I'll ask her gently, "are you ready to go gorgeous?" That's when she kicks into high gear!!! :D She springs into a kick-butt, full-force gallop with ears pricked forward, tail flagging behind her and mighty hooves pounding into the road. I can feel every step she takes, every muscle bulging in and out when she runs, hear her heavy breathing and mane swishing and turning in beautiful waves. I look to the left and see blurs of orange and green that were once orange trees. I look to the right and there's a gorgeous, warm sun hiding over the bushes and hills. I look ahead and see my dream horse's head rising and falling, rising and falling gently and slowly as if I'm lost in some sort of a once-in-a-lifetime dream...only.....it's real. And that's what makes it so special for me, for us. I feel like no one can touch us, we're unbeatable, invincible, almost godly.
So Chrissy has been fine Ms. Klindworth. We've been having a GREAT time together and will for many more years thanks to you!
How is everyone at the stables? I hope you sell the horses soon so you an have less pressure, but I bet it's really sad to see them all go too. Lady Marmalade is a beautiful horse, I don't know why, but her in specific always catches my eye when I look at your webpage. I'll send some pictures of Chrissy and I soon! Just need to fix my camera! :D Have a great year!
Very sincerely,
Ally
Here is a poem that Ally wrote about Chrissy before she bought her. It is wonderful.
Chrissy
Your beautiful mane flows as the sea,
You're the most beautiful dream horse to me,
Your long, slender legs run at soft gentle speeds,
Fulfilling all my desired needs.
Your hooves carry me smoothly toward the sea,
Where we will ride 'til sunset,
...Just you and me.

"Z" and Lacie
This is a letter from Lacey, who bought "Zee" from me years ago. Z is an awesome barrel racing arabian and he is very fast. I just recently got back in touch with them and here is a small part of the lovely letter she sent. Hearing these nice stories makes my whole year a good one...thank you Lacey and Z.
Z is just fine. I barrel raced him the last couple of years and did ok. He just isn't the happiest running barrels. I did find his true calling though. He LOVES to road ride, or trail ride. He can out walk anything including cart horses and mules. He doesn't tire out and he ENJOYS it so much!
Z is pretty special. He has been taken over by my daughter. She catches him in the pasture, pulls him up to a fence, and jumps on with just a halter and lead rope. He will only trot and slow canter with her on him. She is going to do youth barrels with him next year. I think he will like it better since he won't have to run as fast.
Z has a permanent home here with me. I can't imagine being without him. I only wish he wasn't 16 already!! I am attaching a few pictures of him from last year running barrels with me. He is fat and sassy here and has everything that he would want or need. Thanks, Lacie

Andy and Linda -
Isn't Andy awesome? Here he is at 1 year old, in his pasture shape, unwashed. Can you imagine what he will look like in a year?! He is a registered. blue-papered foxtrotter colt. I think he will get to be around 14.3 hands tall or maybe a little taller. He leads well, loads and comes rushing over to greet you and in the pasture. He is a sweet, good-natured guy and is a favorite around here. He is going to be very flashy and beautiful when full grown and his tail is the prettiest color I have ever seen...flaxen with red and whites in it. If you are interested in him, please contact me soon as I may start to love him even more and raise his price. His eye is always kind and he tries really hard to do the right thing. He is a special guy and he deserves a good home forever. SOLD to Linda, the sweetest person and best home ever. I hope you don't mind shipping me as well!

Remy and Jan -
Remy is an awesome 5 year old, 16 hand, registered paint homozygous stallion. He has been trail ridden practically all his life by a friend of mine Carol Daugherty (yes a woman!) all over the place. You name it - Remy has been there. His registered name is Raisin Summer Caine. He is very well -bred. Remy is knock-you-over handsome and so sweet. He is really just a great trail gelding with a few extra attachments (if you know what I mean) so you can have lovely black and white paint babies when you aren't riding. He tests negative for the "red factor" gene, so cannot produce offspring with the sorrel color or any offshoot of that. Has been tested "highly likely" for the tobiano homozygous gene. There is a 3 minute long video following that shows a filly out of him and him being ridden all over the show, but you will need a high-speed internet to view it. Isn't he amazing? He has never produced a solid foal, even out of solid colored mares and grey mares. You can breed to him in 2004 and have your own big, beautiful, spotted horse. Contact me for details.$12,900 OBO SOLD to Jan. Remy is a very lucky guy - Jan will love him forever. Jan is standing Remy at stud in Maine, contact me for details.
note from Jan (Remy's new owner) on their first show-
This was the first show this year for Remy and I. His first show ever and my first time Western in 30 years. WE got 5th in Western Pleasure, 4th in Western Equitation, 3rd in Champion Western for the money class and won $5, and we got 1st in Green Horse. I was very pleased with him. Next show July!

Lady and Fermand -
Hi Kirsten, how are you? I have some new pictures of lady she is finally at the mountains now, I just ride her today and she was very good, she is doing fine, she is getting used to this new place but I think she likes it, the barn is new to all our horses so they are all getting use to it. My brother ride her also he loved her too, you´ll see the pictures. The vet came in on Monday and had all the horses checked, he said she needs to eat more, the thing is she lost a little bit of weight because of all the movement from place to place, and he gave all a vaccine and a worming paste, so he said she will eat better after this also. She She is getting more shiny everyday, she is beautiful.
I will keep you posted with a lot of pictures if you would like to.
Warmly,
Fernand

Jackpot and Jody, Corey, Darla, Colton and Dalton -
Here are a couple of nice letters from Jackpot's new parents and such a dear family...
Hi,
I just wanted you to know how grateful we are that you brought Jackpot to our family. We are so proud of him, and everyone was so nice and helpful to us. Being first time owners and making such a commitment not only financial, but the responsiblility of such a glorious spirit as Jackpot, was made fun and exciting by the people you put us in contact with.
We love Jackpot so much. He is everything you said he was and more. The boys just love him and Corey is doing very well with his roping practices. ( Jackpot is doing better at practice than Corey, but Jackpot is a great teacher and very patient.)
We thank you so much for all the help you gave us and for bringing Jackpot and the wonderful friends that came with him. We not only got Jackpot, but have become good friends with his former owner and his family and they are such a great family.- Jody, Corey, Darla, Colton, and Dalton
